“I’m relieved to see that the election process has been rather smooth, even though results weren’t announced on Election Day–something we expected because of the number of mail-in ballots as well as states’ various rules about when counting could begin. I also hope more people are aware of and engaged with democracy–and will continue to be engaged, as there are more elections to come, starting with Georgia’s Senate runoff in January. Voting is only one part of civic engagement, but it is an essential part.”
