Panther Basketball is back!

In a Zoom meeting on Aug. 30, Coach Markisha Coleman shared information about the upcoming season with girls interested in playing.  Three girls attended the meeting, even though more girls have demonstrated interest.

The season will start on Nov. 1, with 12 pre-season games and 10 league games. Practices will be held at 5:30-7:45 p.m. in the Panther Dome. Optional Fall Workouts will start on Sept. 13 from 7:00-8:00 or 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Players are encouraged to join Strength and Conditioning. Physicals and any other medical paperwork is due by Oct. 15.

Details about the Covid Policy are still up in the air, but players may have to test every week. Rules regarding wearing masks during games are likely to vary depending on the school hosting the game.  Some schools also may limit the number of fans who can attend, or allow none at all.

As in past years, players must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA to remain on the team. Anyone who is interested in playing on the team should email Coach Kish at [email protected].
