Panthers are Back on Campus! What’s New?

The dim lights of the theater hid the nervous faces of students who waited to step on stage. Last weekend, the dorm students moved in for the school year. To begin bonding and building relationships throughout the grades, students were tasked with making choreography and performing decade hits for their dorm-mates to enjoy.
Laughter and the best sports skills of dorm students traveled the main quad last weekend, upon the arrival of all students for the start of the school year. On the fresh Sunday afternoon, students took a break from reality, pulled out the volleyballs and speakers, and played until sundown.
As the bell rings, kids run to the cafeteria to get their lunch, but are stopped in their tracks by the line. At the start of lunch on the first day of school, students bunched by the door to try to enter first. With people cutting and a shortage of plates, the line lasted for more than half the lunch period.
This year’s seniors participated in various senior-exclusive activities on the first day of school, the main one being the wearing of crowns. A week before school started, seniors decorated plain white crowns, which they wore on the first day of school to symbolize the start of a new chapter – their senior year.
